John Lindley had many different hairstyles during his lifetime. He was most recognized as a great botanist, pteridologist, bryologist, university teacher and writer. However, the 1799–1865; English botanist, gardener and orchidologist was particularly known for his extradordinary public appearances and his pleasant personality.
